The winner of the Bundesliga receives a championship plate at the end of the season and is also allowed to wear a star above the coat of arms for every ten titles won. This was not to be Servette's last crisis in history. Eight national champions and two cup winners played in Geneva at the time: SpVgg Fürth (Germany), First Vienna (Austria), RCS Brugge (Belgium), Real Unión Irún (Spain), FC Sète (France), FC Bologna (Italy), Go Ahead Eagles (Netherlands), Újpest Football Club (Hungary), Slavia Prague (Czechoslovakia) and of course Servette as Swiss champions. The buying up of the licenses of two top division teams was met with widespread rejection within the fan scene. Suffering an adductor injury shortly thereafter at Parma meant he only made two appearances for the remainder of the season and returned to Milan for the 2013/14 season.
